Opening a zipped CSV file in a spreadsheet application

To enable sending reports containing as many rows as possible (up to 200,000 rows), the files generated are in zipped CSV format. Here are the steps to open this type of file in the most popular spreadsheet applications, Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

  1. Extract the ZIP file
    1. On PC:
      1. Right-click on the ZIP file.
      2. Select "Extract all".
      3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
    2. On Mac:
      1. Simply double-click on the ZIP file.
  2. Open the CSV file
    1. In Microsoft Excel:
      1. Open an Excel file.
      2. Go to the “Data” tab.
      3. Click on “From Text/CSV” (please note that the interface may vary depending on the version of Excel used).

      4. Select the .csv file from where you saved it.
      5. Click on “Import”.
      6. A pop-up window opens (please note that the interface may vary depending on the version of Excel used).

      7. Make sure the comma is selected as the delimiter.
      8. Click on “Load” to finish.
    2. In Google Sheets:
      1. Open a Sheets file.
      2. Click on “File”, then “Import”.

      3. Select or drag and drop the .csv file from where you saved it.
      4. A pop-up window opens.
      5. Let Sheets detect the separator type automatically (or select the comma manually).

      6. Click on “Import data” to finish.
